Vieux Fort Children’s Society

On Wednesday 25 November 2015, Mrs Felicia Hippolyte, President of Unity of UK St Lucian Associations and Mr Greenage Hippolyte, Executive Member of Unity visited the Vieux Fort Children’s Society. The visit included a tour of the charity shop and also construction site of the new charity home for abused children.

Mrs Hippolyte presented a cheque of £500 to Beverlyn John, Chairperson of the Vieux Fort Children’s Society on behalf of Unity of UK St Lucian Associations to show their continued support towards this project which caters for children who are at risk and in need of care and protection from child abuse, parental neglect and abandonment.

For the past five years Unity has been supporting this charity and it is encouraging to see the project coming to fruition. The home needs your support in order to meet the needs of the children, maintain its upkeep and provide adequate staffing. Donations can be made direct to the Vieux Fort Children’s Society.
